Perfect Power Guard serves a different purpose. Instead of retreating, the player holds position and deflects a powerful attack at the correct moment. A successful timing window can stagger a strong enemy and create an opening. These mechanics are especially valuable against officers who interrupt long attack strings or deal heavy damage.

A reliable combat loop is simple:

The remaster supports both Normal Settings and Classic Settings. Normal Settings use the new features recommended for the updated experience. Classic Settings move closer to the original game by disabling or reducing selected additions. Individual options can also be adjusted, including Evasion, Perfect Power Guard, and certain enemy interface indicators.

This flexibility is useful for two different audiences. Returning players can recreate a familiar feel, while new players can use modern defensive tools to understand the remaster’s combat expectations.
